I usually work with acrylic paints on gessoed watercolor paper. I scratch, scrape or draw random and deliberate textures into the gessoed surface. Then I paint layer upon layer of paint to create the final art. My work is sometimes mistaken for pastel, but I assure you it is paint. Occasionally I paint black line with watercolor washes.
